Barium Nitrate is a colorless to white, odorless, crystalline (sand-like) powder. It is used in making fireworks, for green lights and neon lights, and in ceramic glazes.
Barium nitrate appears as a white crystalline solid. Noncombustible, but accelerates burning of combustible materials. If large quantities are involved in fire or the combustible material is finely divided, an explosion may result. May explode under prolonged exposure to heat or fire.
Potassium bromide is a white crystalline powder. It is freely soluble in water; it is not soluble in acetonitrile under standard conditions.
